Phonics
Spring
This half term, we are introducing children to digraphs and trigraphs (please see our phonics glossary below to find out what these words mean).
This children will be taught the sounds alongside rhymes and actions to help them to remember them.
During phonics, we will be focussing on the skills of segmenting (breaking down the sounds) words and blending them back to read e.g. c-a-t to read cat.
